The Xavier Ateneo Graduate Journal is the annual, multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed academic journal of the Office of Graduate Studies, Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan.
Nature and purpose
The journal provides a rigorous platform for empirical, theoretical, applied, and creative work by graduate students, faculty, alumni, research partners, and scholars whose work contributes to the journal’s mission.
Grounded in Filipino, Catholic, and Jesuit traditions, it promotes intellectually rigorous, ethically sound, and socially responsible scholarship. XAGJ advances inquiry that serves human dignity, social justice, peace, intercultural understanding, environmental stewardship, and the common good.
From its home in Cagayan de Oro, the journal connects questions of regional importance to national, ASEAN, and global scholarly conversations. It welcomes disciplinary depth while encouraging dialogue across fields.
