Abstract
This literature review explores the lived experiences of women diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome, focusing on the psychological effects of physical symptoms through a feminist perspective. It examines motherhood, fertility, body image, femininity, coping strategies, healthcare experiences, and the influence of social expectations and beauty standards. By centering women’s voices, the review advocates for a holistic approach to treatment that attends to both the physical and psychological dimensions of PCOS.
