Abstract

This literature review examines the relationship between chronic stress and job insecurity among Filipino gig workers, with particular attention to coping strategies. Problem-focused and emotion-focused approaches may mitigate or intensify the psychological effects of insecure work. The review synthesizes existing research, identifies gaps in the field, and points to ways coping mechanisms might improve mental health outcomes associated with job insecurity.
